Features

Once your AI tool is connected, it has persistent memory across all your sessions. Here's what you can do.

Palace Structure

Your memories are organized in a hierarchy: Wings (top-level categories like projects or people), Rooms (topics within a wing), and Drawers (individual memories). This keeps things findable instead of dumping everything into a flat list.

"Save this architecture decision in the mempalace-cloud project under architecture."

Your AI tool will create the wing and room if they don't exist yet, or add to existing ones.

Semantic search across all your memories. You don't need to remember exact wording — MemPalace finds related content by meaning, not just keywords.

"What do you remember about our database migration strategy?"

Search works across wings and rooms, or you can narrow it down to a specific area.

Session Mining

Import decisions, lessons, and context from your past Claude Code or Codex CLI sessions into the palace. Your AI reads local session files and extracts what's worth keeping.

"Mine my recent sessions for important decisions and lessons."

Everything mined lands in your Inbox first — nothing gets saved without your review.

Knowledge Graph

Structured facts stored as triples: entity, relation, object. Great for preferences, tech stack decisions, team member details, and anything you'd look up by name.

"Remember that I prefer TypeScript over JavaScript."

Facts can be queried, updated, or invalidated when they become outdated.

Tunnels

Connect related content across different wings. When a decision in one project relates to another — like an API design connecting to a database schema — tunnels make those cross-wing links explicit and navigable.

"Create a tunnel from the mempalace-cloud architecture room to the oauth patterns room."

Follow tunnels to explore how ideas connect across your projects and topics.

Drawer Management

Browse, search, and edit your existing memories. View the full content of any drawer, list drawers with filters, update content or move drawers between rooms, and check for duplicates before saving.

"List all drawers in the mempalace-cloud deployment room."

Edit or reorganize your palace as your understanding evolves.

Diary

Chronological entries for session summaries, milestones, and events. Your AI can write diary entries automatically at the end of a session, or you can ask it to.

"Write a diary entry about what we accomplished today."

Read back recent entries to catch up on what happened across sessions.
