Plans

MemPalace Cloud has three personal plans:

  • Free — €0. 200 memories, 1 connected tool, 30 days search history.
  • Pro — €10/mo or €96/year (save 20%). Unlimited memories, 5 tools, 12 months search.
  • Power — €15/mo or €144/year. Everything in Pro plus unlimited search and unlimited tools.

Team add-ons (the owner needs a Pro or Power personal plan to create a team; members can be on any personal plan, including Free):

  • Team Starter — €10/mo. Unlimited seats, 1,000 shared team memories, 365 days search.
  • Team Pro — €15/mo. Unlimited everything.

Upgrade

  1. Go to /billing/change-plan.
  2. Toggle monthly or yearly.
  3. Click Upgrade to Pro or Upgrade to Power.
  4. You're redirected to our secure checkout. Enter your payment details and confirm. Orders are sold and processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.) as our Merchant of Record.
  5. After payment succeeds, your plan is active immediately.

Switch between paid plans

Already on Pro or Power and want the other tier? You don't go through checkout again:

  1. Go to /billing/change-plan.
  2. Pick the other plan and click Switch to Pro / Switch to Power.
  3. The change is prorated automatically — you're charged or credited the difference for the rest of your current period; no new payment form.
  4. You're returned to /billing, which shows a short "plan is being updated" notice. The new tier appears within a few moments once the payment provider confirms the change.

A few notes:

  • Same plan is shown as your current plan and can't be re-selected.
  • Payment overdue? If a charge has failed, switching is paused — open Manage billing first to fix your payment method, then switch.
  • Downgrade to Free is a cancellation: use Manage billing → cancel. It takes effect at the end of your billing period (see Cancellation).

Create a paid team

Requires a Pro or Power personal plan.

  1. Go to /team/new.
  2. Name the team and pick Team Starter or Team Pro.
  3. Click Create + pay → you're redirected to our secure checkout (sold by Polar as our Merchant of Record).
  4. After payment, the team is created and you are added as owner.

Switch your team's plan

Team owners can move a team between Team Starter and Team Pro without going through checkout again:

  1. On /billing, find the team under Teams you own and click Change plan.
  2. Pick the other plan and click Switch to Starter / Switch to Pro.
  3. The change is prorated automatically — the team is charged or credited the difference for the rest of the current period; no new payment form.
  4. You're returned to /billing with a short "plan is being updated" notice. The new tier appears within a few moments once the payment provider confirms the change.

A few notes:

  • Owners only. Team members don't see the Change plan option.
  • Same plan is shown as the team's current plan and can't be re-selected.
  • Payment overdue? If a team charge has failed, switching is paused — open Manage billing for that team first to fix the payment method, then switch.
  • Team plans are monthly only — there is no yearly cycle to switch between.

Manage your billing

The Manage billing button on /billing opens the Polar customer portal. There you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • Download invoices
  • Cancel your subscription (takes effect at the end of the billing period)

Cancellation

When you cancel:

  • Your access stays active until the end of your current billing period.
  • You'll see "Cancelling on DATE" on /billing until then.
  • After that date, your plan automatically reverts to Free. Memories are never deleted — older ones just won't be searchable until you re-upgrade.

Taxes (VAT / USt)

Polar (Polar Software Inc.) is our Merchant of Record and handles VAT/sales tax on every order. Your address (collected at checkout) determines the applicable rate. EU business customers can enter a valid VAT ID at checkout for reverse-charge treatment. Your invoice is issued by Polar Software Inc.
